MIDDLE DANUBE. Eravisci. Mid to late 1st century BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 3.36 g, 5 h), imitating an obverse of C. Naevius Balbus of 79 and a reverse of Cn. Lentulus of 76-75 BC. Diademed head of Venus to right, wearing earring and pearl necklace. Rev. RAVIS Globe with rudder to left and thunderbolt to right. Dembski 1571. Freeman 13/C and pl. 29, 17. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die with small die breaks, otherwise, good very fine.
